The History of


1985
Establishment of Moore Construction, Inc
Steve Moore established Moore Construction, Inc with a clear focus of providing Building Construction Services to Industrial and Commercial clients in the Gulf Coast Region.

1986
Breaking Into Industry
Moore Construction delivered first industrial project – a guard shack at a Chemical Plant in Geismar, Louisiana. Though modest in scale, this project marks a pivotal moment, establishing Moore’s presence in the Industrial Sector and paving the way for future growth in that industry.

2000
A Turning Point
Moore welcomed David Miller to the team, who now serves as Executive Vice President. David brought vast experience and expertise in industrial project execution, making his arrival a turning point for the company. Under his influence, Moore sharpened focus, fully committing to industrial construction as the core market.

2006
Steve Moore Inducted into The LSU Hall of Fame
Steve Moore was inducted into the Construction Management Hall of Fame at LSU – a testament to his lasting impact on the construction industry and education. During his term as President and Member of the Construction Industry Advisory Council, Steve played a key role in the transformation of LSU’s old boiler building into the Construction Management Building. Steve also served as an adjunct professor for four years, teaching commercial estimating.

2010
Tackling Larger Projects
Moore Construction delivers first full-site building package for the IMTT Terminal Facility in Geismar, LA. This milestone marked a significate step forward in our company’s growth, showcasing our ability to manage and execute larger industrial projects.

2012
Expanded Service Offerings: Industrial HVAC
In response to client needs, Moore Construction launched its Industrial HVAC business line – expanding service offerings to better support facility upgrades and replacements. Born from trust and demand, this new division strengthened Moore’s role as a versatile partner capable of handling complex, critical HVAC projects in active industrial environments.

2014
Planted Roots in Texas
To better serve our growing client base in Texas, Moore Construction opened a Regional Office in Houston. This strengthened our ability to support our Texas clients with a local presence.

2015
Expanded Service Offerings: Civil
Moore Construction officially launched the Civil business line after recognizing the in-house talent and expertise already present within the company. With experienced team members capable of delivering civil projects, we made a strategic decision to focus on this service offering. This expansion added versatility as support to our Industrial Buildings Business Unit, while adding self-perform civil services to our trusted client partners.

2017
Company Name Changes to Moore Industries
Moore rebrands as Moore Industries – a change that better represented the expanding service offerings.

2018
Moore Delivers 17.8 PSI Blast-Resistant Control Room
Moore completed a uniquely designed Control Room inside of DOW Chemical in Plaquemine, LA. This building is one of the highest rated blast-resistant buildings in North America, rated at 17.8 PSI.

2019
Hardening the Heart of Exxonmobil’s Chemical Plant
Moore Industries completed a one of a kind hardening project within ExxonMobil’s Baton Rouge Chemical Plant Complex, constructing a structural exoskeleton on the exterior of an occupied, 75 year old Administration and Laboratory Building.

2023
Moore Breaks Ground on the West Coast
Moore Industries completes first West Coast project – two electrical substations for a plant expansion within the Marathon Refinery in Los Angeles, CA. This milestone reflects Moore’s commitment to serve our clients, embrace challenges, and adapt to the environments we are called to work within.

2024
A New Era of Leadership
Moore Industries underwent a key leadership restructuring to position the company for continued growth and adaptability. Tyler Moore was promoted to President, with David Miller named Executive Vice President, and both Michael Kleinpeter and Paul Frischhertz stepping into Vice President roles. This new leadership structure strengthened our ability to execute projects with the highest standards, while continuing our focus on remaining versatile, and utilizing that versatility to maximize value for our clients.
