This project involved the complete replacement and retrofit of 63 HVAC units located in and around 27 fully active and occupied buildings across four facilities in Baton Rouge, LA.
Project DETAILS
- This design-build project requiring extensive execution plans and risk mitigation plans surrounding the well being and/or disturbance of the personnel within the buildings.
- Moore was contracted to perform heat load studies to determine proper sizing of the new equipment to be installed and all upgrades to the associated piping, valves, and ductwork.
- Construction included the demolition of existing HVAC equipment and all associated components, installation of ductwork, electrical conduit and wiring, disassembly and reassembly of new air handling units, pipe design and fabrication, valve replacement, scaffold erection, pipe and duct insulation, asbestos abatement, concrete foundations, concrete coring, roof repair, and crane lifts.
