This project involved the complete replacement of the HVAC system in a 36,000-square-foot laboratory that operated continuously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, throughout the duration of the work.
Project DETAILS
- The scope of work included the demolition and replacement of all HVAC equipment and associated components. Key elements replaced were the chiller, cooling tower vertical pumps, chilled water and condenser water pumps, condensing units, air handling units, split system units, variable air volume (VAV) boxes, variable frequency drives (VFDs), exhaust fans, and ductwork. Each component was carefully selected and installed to ensure seamless operation and maintain uninterrupted functionality of the laboratory.
- Additional work included upgrading fire suppression systems, concrete equipment foundations, chill water piping, membrane roof replacement, and asbestos abatement.
- Electrical infrastructure upgrades, the erection of a structural steel conduit bridge, and interior finishes were also part of the scope.
